Why We Started

Some things are worth doing slowly. Hive and Timber was built on land that has been in the family for generations. It started as cleared acres and wooded hunting ground in Sweetwater, Alabama and expanded to timberland in Hull, Texas.

We manage apiaries. We selectively harvest timber and replant what we take. We restore pollinator habitat and protect the wildness that remains. We hunt the same ground we tend.

The philosophy is simple. Land first. Always. That applies to every decision we make.

We are building something for the next generation. That means we cannot be in a hurry.
